Many people think of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains when they hear \u201cElbe Valley\u201d, and that is basically correct. The Elbe Valley refers to the area upstream of the river, just over the Czech border near D\u011b\u010d\u00edn. The German name is Tetschen-Bodenbach. The rock here is similar, but the protection of the climbing routes is much more pleasant. The use of chalk is also tolerated on the left bank of the Elbe, at least in moderation.<\/p>\n
